GOVERNING BODY OF DIRECTORS

Lorraine Vickery, President is the founder of Samaritan Ministries and currently serves as Executive Director. She received her BA in Psychology and was the former startup director of a local pregnancy center ministry. Lorraine was Past President of Flagler Resource Council (a social service coalition) Lorraine, herself a former single parent, is a domestic violence survivor as well as a survivor of childhood polio.

Daniel Hopkins, Vice President is a graduate of the Naval Academy and received his B.S. in General Engineering. Daniel spent six years in the U.S. Navy in the Aviation field. He retired from AT&T in l992, where he had various management positions. Daniel has served on several church boards, in Christian Education, is currently serving as a Hospice Homecare Volunteer and is a mentor at a local elementary school.

 

Stewart Manthey, Treasurer is a retired accountant who also served at The Christian Herald.  Stewart is our most recent addition to the board, and was voted in as Treasurer at our August 2009 Board Meeting.


Joseph Funaro is a retired Business Consultant for 23 successful years with a Fortune 500 Corporation. He has a strong background in insurance and as a business consultant. He was selected as a “Loaned Executive” to assist Regional Vice-President in a leadership role of the United Way of Long Island. He is an army veteran and a former Peace Corp. Volunteer. Currently he is an active church volunteer as well as a coordinator for our quarterly Car Care Program.

 

Bob Evansformer Chamber of Commerce participant, currently serves as his church Treasurer.  Bob had been instrumental in mentoring our former Treasurer into the ‘world of computerized bookkeeping- with QuickBooks”.  Bob also is a gifted craftsman and helped organize and build a privacy fence when materials had been donated.  Later, when a play set was donated for the children Bob also helped assemble this.
